My Latest CUSTOM Order - DEEP VELVET

I'm glad this bag and organizer turned out so well.  It's Summer and I'm actually sewing BACK TO SCHOOL and FALL and CHRISTMAS for the most part during the Summer so it was a nice change to sew up something Springy again!  This fabric is actually called Deep velvet and I can see why with the florals so deep and inviting.  I mixed it up with some purplely plaids and solids and polka-dots and paisly's (yes, you can do that)  and it really turned out nice!  What do you think?  I'm sewing as fast as I can go... I hope those who sew are also enjoying themselves at the sewing machine or design table! (more below...)

This Organizer is a little different from my previous ones, in that I made the pockets different on each side. The ones on the inside are large open pockets - large and deep enough for iPad or novels... while the ones on the outside are smaller 5 inch pockets with some pen holders and a 4 inch end pocket for a phone. All in all, this is probably the nicest Organizer I've made and I'll probably switch to this pattern for all of my future Organizers. It's really a simple change but makes a huge difference for all those who carry novels or iPads around!
